Aikido

Welcome to Aikido of Louisville, a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching and preserving the ancient art of Aikido. Founded in 1981, our dojo is proud to be a member of the Aikido Schools of Ueshiba (ASU) under Mitsugi Saotome Sensei.

At Aikido of Louisville, we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and friendly environment for individuals of all ages and skill levels to learn and practice Aikido. Our experienced instructors, led by Sensei Tony Graziano, are dedicated to guiding students in their journey to master the art of Aikido.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a non-competitive, non-competitive, and safe environment for individuals to learn and practice Aikido. We strive to create a sense of community and belonging among our members, while promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Our Services

We offer a variety of services to our members, including:

• Basic Classes: Our basic classes are designed for beginners and intermediate students, focusing on the fundamental techniques and principles of Aikido.

• Advanced and Open Classes: Our advanced and open classes offer more challenging and complex techniques, allowing students to refine their skills and deepen their understanding of Aikido.

• Weapons Classes: Our weapons classes focus on techniques involving bokken, tanto, jo, and other traditional Aikido weapons.

• Eishin-Ryu Iaido: Our Eishin-Ryu Iaido study group is open to both Aikido and non-Aikido practitioners, providing an excellent adjunct study to Aikido.

Membership and Fees

Membership at Aikido of Louisville is $75 for regular members and $60 for full-time students. Families pay the normal rate for the first member, with additional members receive a 50% discount. There is a $10 mat fee for visiting aikidoka.

Our History

Aikido of Louisville has a rich history, dating back to 1981. Our dojo was founded by Sensei Tony Graziano, who has dedicated his life to the study and teaching of Aikido. Our instructors, including Sensei Tony Graziano, David Meisner, Jim Ragan, and Carlos Perez, have decades of combined experience in martial arts and Aikido.

Our Facilities

Our dojo is located at 10119 Production Court, Louisville, KY. We have a spacious and well-equipped facility, with a large mat area and changing rooms.
