At Twyman Tae Kwon Do Academy, we are a martial arts school dedicated to teaching the art of TaeKwonDo to individuals of all ages. Our mission is to provide a supportive and structured environment where students can develop their minds, bodies, and spirits. With over 25 years of teaching experience, our founders, Michael and Lisa Twyman, have developed a proven teaching method that focuses on character development, life skills training, and biblical principles.

Our Story

As Christian-owned and operated, our martial arts school is deeply rooted in Christian values. We believe that TaeKwonDo is not just a physical activity, but a way to develop physically, mentally, and spiritually. Our instructors are certified through the United States Chung Do Kwan Association (USCDKA) and have helped hundreds of children, adults, and families learn the art of TaeKwonDo.

Our Classes

At Twyman Tae Kwon Do Academy, we offer a range of martial arts classes for all ages, from 4 to adult. Our classes are designed to provide a fun and challenging environment where students can learn new skills, build confidence, and develop a strong sense of self-discipline. Our instructors are passionate about teaching and are committed to helping each student reach their full potential.

Chung Do Kids

Our Chung Do Kids program is specifically designed for children ages 4 to 6 years old. This program is a great introduction to martial arts lessons at an early age, instilling the structure and discipline of a "big kids" program, but with a fun and energetic approach to teaching the Chung Do Kids Curriculum. Students will learn focus, concentration, listening skills, self-control, and basic Taekwondo skills, as well as self-defense skills.

Beginner Class

Our beginner Taekwondo lessons lay a foundation for basic techniques such as front kicks, sidekicks, proper punching and striking techniques, as well as proper stances. Students will learn to focus and concentrate, develop listening skills, and build self-control. This class is an excellent starting point for families to learn together.

Intermediate Class

Our intermediate martial arts classes take the beginner curriculum and add advanced techniques, focusing on perfecting technique and application. Students will learn advanced fundamentals, creative one-step sparring, and more self-control in their training.
