The Pennsylvania Association for the Blind is a network of 25 Member Agencies across the state serving over 60,000 Pennsylvanians annually. Founded in 1910, it is the nation's only statewide private non-profit organization providing services for people who are blind or visually impaired, as well as prevention of blindness programs to the general population. The organization aims to positively impact the lives of Pennsylvanians with visual impairments through customized instruction and support. It offers a range of services including instruction in daily living activities, orientation and mobility instruction, summer instructional programs for children, counseling and case management, access technology instruction, low vision examinations, in-home supportive services, and adjustment to blindness support groups.
