Southwest Ball Hockey has been providing a fast action no checking league for children from our neighboring communities since 1971. Southwest Ball Hockey is a non-profit, state-chartered corporation totally devoted to the enjoyment of this unique brand of Dek/ball hockey for children ages 5 to 15. This game is a fast action, no checking league and is played on a special type of rink where the players play in gym shoes not ice skates or roller blades. Each player must play a minimum of 1/3 of each game. The players must also all wear helmets with face guards, shin guards, elbow pads and hockey gloves. In every division, good sportsmanship is encouraged in all our players, as we have 2 seasons: Winter and Summer. The Winter season consists of 14-16 games, while the summer league starts in July and runs through August. All games are played outside in tennis/gym shoes, usually two games are played per week per team, on weekday evenings and Sundays.
