Reverie Dance Academy

Reverie Dance Academy (RDA) is a renowned dance institution that has been serving the Chicago suburbs and surrounding communities for over a decade. Since our inception in 2013, we have been dedicated to providing an extensive range of dance curriculum for both youth and pre-professional dancers. Our state-of-the-art dance facility is located in Lake Zurich and features four spacious studios, equipped with the latest technology and resources to support our expansive curriculum.

RDA is proud to be the home of the national award-winning Reverie Dance Company. We are committed to nurturing every student's potential, from budding dancers to experienced performers. Our experienced and dedicated instructors offer classes for students aged 3-18, including ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, musical theatre jazz, acro, and tap. We are proud to attract students from all over the Chicago suburbs, including Buffalo Grove, Long Grove, Arlington Heights, Wheeling, Hawthorn Woods, Kildeer, Deer Park, Deerfield, Lincolnshire, Vernon Hills, and Mount Prospect.

Our Curriculum

At RDA, we believe that dance is an art form that requires dedication, discipline, and passion. Our curriculum is designed to inspire and challenge students, while providing a supportive and nurturing environment. We offer a wide range of classes, including:

• Ballet: Our ballet classes focus on developing proper technique, alignment, and artistry. We offer classes for all levels, from beginner to advanced.
• Lyrical and Contemporary: Our lyrical and contemporary classes are designed to challenge students and encourage creativity and self-expression.
• Jazz and Musical Theatre Jazz: Our jazz and musical theatre jazz classes focus on developing strong technique, while also incorporating elements of musical theatre and performance.
• Hip-Hop: Our hip-hop classes are high-energy and focused on developing strength, rhythm, and style.
• Acro: Our acro classes are designed to develop strength, flexibility, and control. We focus on both tumbling and dance technique.
• Tap: Our tap classes focus on developing rhythm, timing, and precision.

Our Instructors

Many of our instructors have performed professionally, and all are passionate about sharing their knowledge and experience with our students.

Programs and Performances

At RDA, we offer a variety of programs and performances throughout the year. Our annual Nutcracker performance is a beloved holiday tradition, and our spring showcase is an opportunity for students to showcase their skills and progress. We also offer workshops and intensives throughout the year, providing students with the opportunity to learn from guest instructors and focus on specific skills and techniques.
