About Us

Mr. Bentley's Driving School is owned and operated by Eric and Cheryl Bentley, who have a passion for teaching and serving their community. Eric Bentley, the lead instructor, discovered his passion for teaching at a young age and has since earned degrees in Education, Curriculum & Teaching, and Educational Technology from the University of Michigan and Michigan State University. He has been an educator for over two decades and has taught various subjects, including math, technology, and writing.

Our Services

We offer driver education services through Segment 1 and Segment 2 classes. Here's a brief overview of what each segment entails:

• Segment 1: This segment covers the basic elements of driving, including road rules, traffic signs, and safe driving practices. Students will learn about vehicle maintenance, defensive driving, and traffic laws in the state of Michigan. This segment includes 24 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training.

• Segment 2: This segment focuses on advanced driving skills, including night driving, freeway driving, and handling various weather conditions. Students will learn how to navigate complex intersections, react to emergency situations, and develop effective decision-making skills. This segment includes 6 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training.
