Our journey began in 1982 when John Banks and his late wife Jerri founded the first Kolache Factory in Houston, Texas. With a passion for bringing the fresh, authentic taste and warmth of Eastern European pastries to American foodies, they saw an opportunity to introduce the traditional Czech pastry to the masses.
