Welcome to Sienna Ranch, a unique nature education center located in the heart of the Bay Area. Since our inception, we have been dedicated to fostering a deep connection between young people and the natural world. Our mission is to cultivate a more compassionate and environmentally aware future by providing compelling outdoor programs for youth in PreK-9th Grade.

At Sienna Ranch, we offer a wide range of activities designed to excite and inspire curiosity in the great outdoors. From horseback riding and archery to gardening and animal care, we provide a diverse and enriching experience for all of our participants. Our experienced staff is passionate about sharing their knowledge and love for nature with the next generation.

Types of Programs

Our programming is divided into several categories, each designed to meet the unique needs and interests of our participants. These categories include:

• Homeschool Programs: We offer a variety of classes for homeschooling families, running from September through late May in eight-week sessions.
• After School Programs: Our after school programs offer a fun and engaging alternative to traditional childcare, with classes running once per week.
• Early Childhood Programs: Geared towards children ages 3-5, our early childhood programs provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners.
• Teen Programs: Our teen programs are designed to challenge and inspire older students, with a focus on leadership and teamwork.
• Special Needs Programs: We are proud to offer inclusive programs for students with special needs, with a focus on individualized attention and support.

Staff and Facility

At Sienna Ranch, we believe that our staff is the heart of our operation. Our team is made up of experienced and knowledgeable educators, many of whom have backgrounds in environmental education, equine studies, and child development. We are committed to providing ongoing training and support to ensure that our staff is equipped to provide the best possible experience for our participants.

Our facility is located on a beautiful 20-acre ranch in Lafayette, California. We are proud to offer a wide range of amenities, including:

Grow-to-Give Orchard

One of our most unique features is our Grow-to-Give Orchard, a working orchard that provides fresh fruit for our community. Participants in our programs have the opportunity to learn about the life cycle of fruit trees, from planting and pruning to harvesting and distributing the fruit to local food banks.

Rain or Shine Ranch

At Sienna Ranch, we believe that there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing! Our Rain or Shine Ranch philosophy means that we continue our programming, rain or shine, with modifications made to ensure the safety and comfort of our participants.
