At Asphalt Aesthetics, we take great pride in every job, no matter what size. You can always count on us to get it done right, on schedule, and on budget. Our founder, John Doughton, graduated from the Virginia Military Institute, Class of 2015 with a Bachelors of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering, mainly focusing in transportation and geo-technical engineering. He has worked for Allegheny Construction and began working for the Virginia Department of Transportation as an engineering technician in the summer of 2013. He has 5+ years of roadway construction and pavement inspection experience, along with 10+ years of customer service and business entrepreneurship.

The Doughton family has roots in roadway construction dating back to 1928 in Tazewell County Virginia. John shares the dream of his great grandfather, building roads and immersing himself in the daily aspects of roadway construction, specifically focusing in Pavement construction and maintenance. Asphalt Aesthetics launched business in the summer of 2015. We are an up and coming small business with local roots, industry knowledge, and second to none in regards to customer satisfaction. Our Services

We offer a variety of services to meet all of your paving needs. Whether it's repairing a small section, extending an edge, or paving a whole new driveway, we can get it done. Our services include chip sealing, grading, line striping and marking, patching, paving, sealcoating, and snow removal.

Chip Sealing

Chip Sealing (applying seal coating, BST, Bituminous Surface Treatment) is the application of a special protective wearing surface to an already existing paved area. A dump truck full of gravel, or "chips", attaches to a chip spreader, pulling it over the area to be sealed. A thin layer of liquid asphalt is sprayed down in front of the chip spreader.

Grading

A properly graded driveway or parking lot provides the right foundation and water drainage for long lasting results. Proper grading minimizes cracking, sheds water, and extends the life of your asphalt. Let us help you grade and pave your driveway or lot!

Line Striping and Marking
