Our President

Edward Black, RLA, FASLA, has served as President and owner of H. Edward Black and Associates, Ltd. since founding the firm in 1972. With a BS in Landscape Architecture from Penn State University, Ed has distinguished himself and his firm through many award-winning projects over the past four decades. He is a professionally registered Landscape Architect in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, Virginia, and New Jersey, completing hundreds of projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic U.S. Ed has received numerous awards and honors, including being designated a Fellow by the American Society of Landscape Architects in 2013. He has also made significant contributions to his community, serving in various municipal and professional capacities.
