History and Community Involvement

The Lady of the Lake was modeled on the original Lake Minnetonka luxury paddlewheeler, the Belle of Minnetonka. First christened as Mary Way in 1963, she was refitted with new engines and re-christened as the Lady of the Lake in 1978. Since her first cruise on Lake Minnetonka, she has played host to vacationers, Arts Festival, and Apple Festival fairgoers. She remains the only triple deck boat on Lake Minnetonka and has the largest open air deck on the lake.
