At Premiere Psychiatric Medicine, we believe in a retainer practice approach that enables us to provide a personal and comprehensive psychiatric treatment to our patients. Although concierge-based mental health care may seem like a new concept, accessibility and meaningful communication have always been the pillars of ethical medicine. Our aim is to build a strong therapeutic relationship with our patients by providing them with the time and attention they deserve.

About Us

Abraham Verjovsky, MD

Like most doctors, I began my practice with the belief that my patients' well-being should always be my top priority. I founded Premiere Psychiatric Medicine on the principle that the best treatment happens when I have a deep understanding of my patients and they can easily reach me whenever they need to. However, as my career progressed, I became increasingly frustrated by the constraints of managed care and its impact on building meaningful therapeutic relationships. I discovered the retainer practice model as a solution to these issues.

In a retainer practice, there is no role for insurance companies in the patient-doctor relationship, reducing bureaucracy and eliminating the inappropriate control of medical care by insurance clerks. This model allows doctors and patients to develop a personal relationship, which leads to better care. I specialize in Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry, with a focus on depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, anxiety disorders, and chemical use disorders. I am Board Certified, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and completed my Psychiatry Residency at the University of Minnesota.

Heather Vaughn, NP

I have spent the past 20 years helping individuals who struggle with mental health issues and chemical dependency. I began my career working as a counselor, but soon realized my passion for medicine. I am currently a Registered Nurse, working towards obtaining my Nurse Practitioner license. I have gained extensive experience in various inpatient and outpatient settings, and I have been working closely with Dr. Verjovsky since June 2013. My position at Premiere Psychiatric Medicine is more than just a Registered Nurse and TMS Coordinator - it is a mentorship with Dr. Verjovsky, preparing me to become a provider myself once I become a Nurse Practitioner. We share the same passion for helping people improve their lives by providing exceptional, individualized care.

Our concierge medicine service is a retainer-based practice that provides patients with personalized, convenient, and timely access to psychiatric care. When you become a member, you will be able to schedule same or next-day psychiatric appointments.

We offer telemedicine services, which enable patients to have virtual consultations with our healthcare providers from the comfort of their homes.

*Psychiatric Disorders*

Your mental health and behavioral health is just as important to take care of as your physical health. We provide comprehensive assessments and personalized treatment for various psychiatric disorders.

*Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy*

TMS Therapy uses highly focused, pulsed magnetic field to stimulate function in targeted brain regions. This non-invasive treatment is an effective alternative for patients who have not responded to traditional antidepressant medications.

*Addiction Treatment Services*

We offer addiction treatment services for individuals struggling with substance abuse and chemical dependency.

*Outpatient Detoxification*

While the thought of detoxification and rehabilitation centers may scare some people, there are other options. Our outpatient detoxification service provides patients with a safe and comfortable environment to detoxy from drugs and alcohol.
