Lakefield Weddings

Nestled in the heart of Lancaster County, Lakefield Weddings provides an idyllic setting for your special day. Surrounded by rolling fields and picturesque ponds, our 25-acre farm offers a tranquil and serene atmosphere that will make your wedding unforgettable. Our barn, built in 1852, stands majestically in the middle of the farm and has been recently renovated to provide a beautiful and open space for your reception. With warm cafe lighting and a pristine interior, our barn can accommodate up to 225 guests.

Our Property

At Lakefield Weddings, we offer a range of options for your ceremony and reception. Our five-acre manicured lawn, strewn around two ponds, is an ideal location for an outdoor ceremony. If you prefer an indoor reception, our renovated barn offers a spacious and elegant setting. The barn also features beautifully appointed areas for the bridal party and handicapped-accessible entrances and restrooms.

Our property is home to a variety of wildlife, including ducks, egrets, herons, turtles, king fishers, and a variety of songbirds. Visitors can also meet our resident lovebirds, Antony and Cleopatra (white swans), as well as our brood of chickens and bevy of peacocks. We take pride in maintaining our property and use our experience from operating a landscaping business for over twenty years to design and maintain our beautiful farm.

Our Services

At Lakefield Weddings, we aim to make your wedding planning as simple as possible. We offer a range of services, including chair and table rental, to help you plan your special day. We own deluxe white resin chairs and wood-topped round tables that can be used for both indoor and outdoor receptions.

We have ample parking spots adjacent to the barn that can accommodate all of your guests. Our alcohol policy is flexible and allows you to have alcohol at your reception, but it requires reading, signing, and obeying the policy. We also have wheelchair-accessible entrances and handicapped-accessible restrooms to ensure that all of your guests feel comfortable and welcome.

Availability

We have several dates available in May 2024, including May 18, 24, and June 1. These dates are perfect for couples looking for a Spring wedding. Our availability is constantly changing, so please inquire about specific dates to find out if they are still available. Our venue rental typically goes till 11 pm, but we offer the option to extend the celebration for an additional fee.

The Owners

Lakefield Weddings is owned and operated by Dennis and Eunice Metzler, who have owned and maintained the property for the past fourteen years. After their daughter and niece got married on the farm, they realized the natural fit that this property is for weddings. They take great pride in designing and maintaining the property and strive to provide a memorable and stress-free experience for all of their clients.
