About Dr. Kris Yi
Dr. Kris Yi is a licensed clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst with nearly 30 years of clinical experience. She currently serves as a co-chairperson for the International Relational Committee (IRC) of the American Psychological Association's Society for Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. Dr. Yi is also on the board of the Psychotherapy Action Network (PsiAN) and a training & supervising analyst at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis (ICP) of Los Angeles. She presents widely on Asian American Experience and various topics related to race and racial identity.
Dr. Yi's curriculum vitae includes numerous faculty appointments, including her current positions at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis, Los Angeles, and the Newport Psychoanalytic Institute, Tustin. She has also served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology at Pomona College and an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology and Antioch University.
Dr. Yi's professional affiliations and leadership activities include the International Relations Committee of American Psychological Association's Division of Psychoanalysis and the Psychotherapy Action Network (PsiAN), among others.
