At our psychotherapy practice in Silver Lake, we are dedicated to providing a safe, empathetic, and collaborative environment for individuals seeking personal growth and healing. Our licensed psychotherapists, Matt Casper and Peter Hoffman, have extensive experience working with a diverse population, especially those in the creative fields. Our Services

Our approach is informed by a wide range of training and techniques, including Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy, Humanistic Psychotherapy, and Interpersonal Neurobiology. Matt Casper

Matt Casper is a licensed psychotherapist who believes in the power of insight to foster change. He works to help people accept all that they are, rather than attempting to change into someone they are not. Matt has extensive experience with a wide range of modalities including Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy, Humanistic Psychotherapy, and Interpersonal Neurobiology.

Peter Hoffman

Peter Hoffman is a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who specializes in life transitions, aging, grief and loss, LGBT issues, career stagnation and job loss, addiction, depression and anxiety, and creative blocks. He works with clients from a variety of cultural backgrounds and accesses his training in humanistic, relational, and narrative techniques, as well as cognitive behavioral exercises.

Education and Experience

Our therapists have completed rigorous education and training programs. Matt Casper holds a B.A. from Duke University, an M.A. from California Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology, and is a certified Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist from the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies (LAISPS). Peter Hoffman has a B.A. from Duke University, an M.A. from California Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology, and has completed an intensive family-training program and a school-based counseling program.
