Born 2 Be Therapeutic Equestrian

Born 2 Be Therapeutic Equestrian Center is dedicated to providing the opportunity for individuals to become all they were Born 2 Be through a partnership with the horse. We are a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship Int'l (PATH) Premier Accredited Center, offering safe and affordable therapeutic horseback riding and carriage driving programs for children and adults with disabilities. Our instructors are Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructors (CTRI) and/or are certified in carriage driving.

Our programs include Therapeutic Horsemanship, which promotes coordination, fine and gross motor skills, sequencing abilities, balance, spatial awareness, self-esteem, and independence. We offer small groups, private lessons, horse shows, drill teams, and equestrian special Olympics. Additionally, we provide Therapeutic Carriage Driving, which is an alternative to therapeutic riding. Participants are in a carriage or cart accompanied by a certified driving instructor, utilizing hand/eye coordination and spatial awareness to a greater degree than riding. Showing is also an option for those who drive.

We are located in Sanger, just north of Denton and accessible from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Our center is small, family-oriented, and volunteer-based, relying on amazing people who generously give of their time to provide a hopeful, helpful, and healthy environment. We are grateful for our incredible herd of therapy horses, most of whom are on loan or donated to the program.

Our goal is to ensure that our volunteers find their time valued, appreciated, rewarding, and enjoyable. We could not achieve our mission without their generosity and kind hearts.
