Our Story
Diane's School of Dance was founded in 1974 by Diane Henderson and her late husband Ron Henderson. With a shared vision of providing a high-quality dance education, they created a school that would focus on teaching dance techniques while promoting a positive and inclusive environment. Today, our school has grown to become one of the most successful in the country, with nearly 1000 students and a faculty of 20 experienced instructors.
Our Philosophy
We believe that dance training should not only teach students the technical skills of dance but also provide life training that promotes discipline, poise, and self-confidence. Our philosophy is centered around creating a welcoming environment where students can learn and express themselves while having fun. We strive to make each student feel included and important, and our faculty takes the time to get to know each student personally.
Our Services
At Diane's School of Dance, we offer a variety of dance classes and programs for students of all ages and skill levels. Our classes include tap, classical ballet, jazz, acrobatics, hip hop, pointe, contemporary, and lyrical. We also offer year-round technique classes, private lessons, and summer dance programs. Additionally, we present annual Christmas programs and dance recitals where every student has the opportunity to perform on the front row.

Our Facilities
Our state-of-the-art studio is located in the Kansas City Northland and features large studios with sprung floors, mirrors, and professional sound systems. We also have a comfortable waiting area for parents and a convenient online enrollment and payment system.
