Founded in 1974, Loudoun Therapeutic Riding was the first therapeutic riding program in Virginia. Born from the vision of local figures like Barbara Baird and Leonard Warner, the program blossomed from humble beginnings to become a beacon of hope and healing for the community. Guided by the initial spirit of the organization, we continue to harness the awe-inspiring power of the horse to empower individuals with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges.
