At Les Madeleines, we take pride in our rich history and commitment to providing the finest French-inspired pastries and cuisine to the people of Salt Lake City. Although we closed our physical bakery location in December 2022, our legacy lives on through our new project, Chez Nibs, and our online presence on Goldbelly.com.

Our Story

Our journey began in the winter of 2003 when we opened our doors on State Street, capturing the attention of food lovers from all over Utah and beyond. We were the first bakery west of the Mississippi to offer the Breton pastry, Kouign Amann, and it quickly became a customer favorite. Over the years, we expanded our menu to include gourmet cupcake flavors, French macarons, and breakfast and lunch items. Our commitment to using only the finest ingredients and traditional French technique has earned us a reputation as one of the top bakeries in the area.

Our Services

At Les Madeleines, we offer a wide range of services to satisfy your sweet tooth and culinary cravings. Our shop features a stunning pastry case filled with an array of sweet and savory treats, including our famous Kouign Amann, macarons, and gelato. We also offer a selection of breakfast and lunch items, perfect for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. For those who want to learn the art of French pastry-making, we offer baking classes and videos through our Learn with Romina program. And, for those who want to stay inspired, we publish a quarterly newsletter, Les Saisons, featuring the things that inspire us.

We also believe in using only the finest ingredients and traditional French technique to create dishes that are both familiar and innovative. And, we believe in giving back to our community through our involvement with local organizations, such as the Rescue Mission.
