Empowering individuals to live their best lives through yoga
At Barefoot Lizard Yoga, we believe that yoga is a journey, not a destination. Our experienced instructors, Elizabeth Dorsey and Carole Schmitt, have a deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits of yoga. We offer a variety of classes, including Gentle Yoga, Restorative Yoga, All Levels Yoga, and Yoga as Therapy, to cater to students of all levels and backgrounds.
Our Story
Our founder, Elizabeth Dorsey, has been teaching yoga for over 1,500 hours and has certifications in various yogic practices, including Holistic & Therapeutic Application, Antaranga Meditation, and Yoga as Therapy. With a passion for sharing the benefits of yoga, Elizabeth started teaching out of a Prius filled with yoga gear, traveling to different locations to bring yoga to people from all walks of life. In 2013, she opened a brick-and-mortar studio in Sharpsburg, which she operated for nine successful years before relocating to the historic gym at Madras Park in Newnan, Georgia.
Our Classes
Our classes are designed to provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for students to explore their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. We offer a range of classes, from gentle and restorative yoga to more dynamic and challenging flows. Our instructors are dedicated to creating a personalized experience for each student, tailoring the class to meet individual needs and goals. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced practitioner, we invite you to join us on this transformative journey.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide high-quality yoga instruction, creating a space for students to cultivate physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. We believe that yoga is a powerful tool for self-discovery, healing, and growth, and we are committed to making it accessible to everyone. Through our classes, workshops, and community events, we aim to inspire and empower individuals to live their best lives.
