Greater WA Business Aviation Association

The Greater Washington Business Aviation Association (GWBAA) is a professional organization dedicated to advancing the safety and education of pilots, maintenance technicians, management, schedulers, and dispatchers, as well as ground support professionals in the business aviation community. Founded in 2005, GWBAA is a regional affiliate of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and is committed to representing and supporting the interests of its members in the Greater Washington DC area.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote the public welfare by educating members and the industry about issues concerning aircraft maintenance and management operations. We strive to accomplish this through educating our members on issues regarding regulations, safety, and technology, by providing an exchange of information through safety seminars, social gatherings, fundraisers, and monthly newsletters.

Our Goals

As a member-driven organization, GWBAA is committed to achieving the following goals:

• Representing and supporting the business aviation community in the Greater Washington area
• Enhancing communications among and to enhance the professional livelihood of its members
• Educating its members regarding changes in regulations, safety, and technological issues
• Providing educational and other support activities to advance the interests of business aviation within the Greater Washington area
• Ensuring that business aviation's interests are properly represented and reviewed when changes are being considered by the regional FAA offices; local airport management; city, county, and other local government; state legislature groups; and U.S. Congressional committees
• Promoting business aviation so that the public can understand the community benefits and the significant role that business aviation plays within the local and national air transportation system and economy
