Writers In The Round

Writers in the Round Concert Series is a community-sponsored, 501(c)(3) nonprofit performing arts organization based in West University Place, TX. Since 1990, we have been dedicated to teaching, nurturing, supporting, and encouraging the cultural heritage of creative writers from around the world. We provide an opportunity for writers to gather together to perform original music and inspire the creation of new works.

At Writers in the Round Concert Series, we believe that music is best when it becomes an expression of inspired originality, enthusiasm, and spontaneity in both practice and performance. Our goal in teaching music is to keep these attributes intact in every student we teach. We allow our students the freedom to progress at an individual pace and ultimately instill a love for music.

Our programs include private and group lessons, summer music camps, and band development. We offer lessons in various instruments, including electric and acoustic guitar, bass, piano, drums, and voice. Our instructors are all gifted and talented musicians with a passion for teaching.

Private & Group Lessons

Our private and group lessons cater to students of all ages and skill levels. Our instructors provide experienced guidance in a supportive environment that fosters an opportunity for students to express themselves with enthusiasm in the art of their choosing.

Summer Music Camps

Our summer music camps provide an opportunity for students to immerse themselves in music and learn in a fun and supportive environment. Our camps are designed to accommodate students of all skill levels. Students will have the opportunity to participate in various activities, including instrument instruction, music theory, and group performances.

Band Development

Our band development program is designed to help students take their music to the next level. Students will learn the ins and outs of being in a band, including performance techniques, stage presence, and teamwork.
