About Dominika Dancewicz
Hailed as "a force to be reckoned with" whose performances are "passionate and transporting", violinist Dominika Dancewicz is a native of Poland. Born into a family of professional string players, Dominika began studying violin at the age of five. She went on to complete her Master's Degree in Violin Performance at the Krakow Music Academy in Poland and further honed her skills at Rice University Shepherd School of Music in Houston and the University of Denver Lamont School of Music.
Throughout her career, Dominika has performed on the world's most prestigious concert stages, collaborated with renowned artists, and recorded for prominent labels such as Dux, Deutsche Grammophon, and Navona Records. As an orchestra musician, Dominika has played with numerous professional ensembles, including the Sinfonietta Cracovia and the Polish Festival Orchestra.
Duo Dramatique
As a co-founder of the renowned violin-piano ensemble, Duo Dramatique, Dominika has shared the stage with pianist Andrew Schneider, delivering compelling, eclectic, and thought-provoking programs that blend classical music with jazz, broadway, and pop. Their performances have been hailed as "riveting and thought-provoking", "passionate and transporting", and "breathtaking".
Violin Lessons and Mentorship
Dominika is a highly accomplished and sought-after violin teacher, with a proven track record of producing talented students who have gone on to excel in orchestras, competitions, and college auditions. She is currently an adjunct Professor of Violin at the University of St. Thomas in Houston and has worked extensively with under-served communities through the Houston Youth Symphony Melody Program.
