Lake Crystal Area Recreaton

At the Lake Crystal Area Recreation Center, we are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment that fosters a love for fitness, wellness, and community engagement. Our mission is to provide the Lake Crystal area and surrounding communities with a family-oriented facility that encourages people of all ages to improve their health and physical fitness through a variety of recreational activities.

Our Facility

Our state-of-the-art facility features 24/7 access to a fully-equipped cardio/machine weight/free weight fitness center, 2 full basketball/volleyball/multi-use courts, an elevated walking track, and locker rooms. Our signature feature is a 150,000-gallon swimming pool with 6 lanes of lap swim, a zero-depth entry area and children's area and slide, plus a larger water-slide, and a spa.

Programs and Services

We offer a wide range of programs and services designed to cater to individuals of all ages and fitness levels. From senior events such as Lunch and Learn Series, Senior Aerobics, and Health Education to our highly-regarded Fit Kids program for school-aged children, we strive to create a fun and engaging environment that promotes physical activity and healthy living. Additionally, we host various events in our two community rooms and gym space, ranging from family celebrations to vendor fairs and craft shows.

Our History

In January 1996, Helen and Eldon Jones met with a few local citizens to discuss their dream of building a combination swimming pool and fitness center in Lake Crystal. The community came together to accept the challenge, and with the help of generous donations and state grants, the Lake Crystal Area Recreation Center was born.
