Northern Stars K9 Resort is a luxurious boarding and daycare facility located on over 20 acres of picturesque land in Hastings, Minnesota. With a mix of hardwoods, trails, and natural prairies, your dog will have plenty of space to explore and enjoy the great outdoors. At Northern Stars K9 Resort, we understand that your pet is a part of your family, and we strive to provide them with the best possible care while they stay with us.

State-of-the-Art Security and Climate-Controlled Kennels

Our resort is equipped with a state-of-the-art indoor/outdoor security system, complete with surveillance cameras, to ensure the safety and well-being of all our guests. Each of our beautifully decorated wings will transport your dog to various destinations, including the Northwoods, Paris, Seaside, or Hawaii. Our kennels are climate-controlled and have a complex state-of-the-art air exchange system, providing fresh air 24 hours a day. Custom lighting is designed throughout the kennels to create a soft, calming environment when it's time for rest or napping. Each guest has their own labeled bin and profile to monitor their stay, with aromatherapy available to help calm your pet during their stay.

Luxury Suites and Resort Amenities

We offer both Standard and Family Size Suites, complete with shared TV or soft music, Kuranda beds, blankets, and stainless steel dishware. Our outdoor play areas are some of the largest K9 turfed areas in the south metro, ensuring clean and sanitary playtime. Indoor play areas have specialty anti-fatigue matting, providing ultimate traction, joint support, and the best surface for disinfecting. Your pet's comfort is our top priority, and our staff is on-site 24/7 to provide the best care possible.

Training Camps, Seminars, and Swimming Classes

Northern Stars K9 Resort offers various services such as training camps, seminars, and swimming classes and events for your furry friends. Our Swim Spa rates include a mandatory intro swim, 15 or 30-minute swims, self-serve bath and blow dry station use, and a swim coach. Spa rates include nail trims, traditional grooming services, organic frozen yogurt cupcakes, and nature walks. Our Canine College is dedicated to providing the best possible education and training for your pets.

Pricing and Packages

We offer a variety of pricing options for our services, including overnight luxury suites, daycare, and packages. Our daycare services include full and half-day options with a 5-day and 10-day package available. Our packages include mealtime, water, snacks, and rest-time in their own private suite. Restrictions apply, so be sure to check our policies regarding packages.

Holidays and Cancellation Policy

Northern Stars K9 Resort is closed on specific holidays, but rest assured, our team is still on-site providing fabulous care to your pets. During peak periods, there will be an additional $5.00 per night charge. Our cancellation policy requires a 48-hour notice for all cancellations and 15 days prior notice for holiday or peak period cancellations. Reservations shortened within 15 days prior to arrival will be responsible for the full original reservation booked, due to waiting lists and extra staff required.
