Academy History

New England Karate Academy was founded in 1995 by Chief Instructor and 10th degree Grand Master Alan D'Allessandro and business partner and instructor James Margosian. Since then, we have become one of the most successful and renowned karate academies in Central Massachusetts. Our founder, Grand Master D'Allessandro, began studying martial arts in 1984 and has since dedicated his life to teaching, competing, and judging on the open karate circuit in New England. He has studied under world and national sport karate champion Rocky Dirico and the late 10th degree Grandmaster Nick Cerio, further enhancing his skills and knowledge in the disciplines of forms, weapons, and self-defense.

Instructors

Our team of highly qualified and experienced instructors is dedicated to providing individualized and goal-oriented instruction to all our students. We believe that every student has the potential to excel in martial arts, and we strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment. Our instructors are trained not only in martial arts techniques but also in effective communication, positive reinforcement, and student motivation.

Programs

New England Karate Academy offers a range of martial arts and karate programs for all ages, including:

• Little Ninja Program (Ages 3 to 4 1/2): Our introductory program for young children focuses on basic motor skills, listening, and socialization skills.
• Junior Black Belt Program (Ages 4 to 13): Our children's karate program is designed to promote positive character development, goal achievement, and self-defense skills.
• Adult Martial Arts Program (Ages 13 and up): Our adult martial arts program is headed by Grand Master Alan D'Allessandro and is recognized as one of the best in New England. It offers comprehensive training in self-defense, forms, and weapons.
• Family Classes: Our family classes are a fun and engaging way for families to spend quality time together, learn self-defense, and meet new friends.

Sword Classes and Birthday Parties

In addition to our regular programs, we also offer sword classes for students who wish to further enhance their martial arts skills. Our birthday parties are a popular choice for families who want to celebrate their child's special day with fun and exciting martial arts activities.

Our state-of-the-art facilities include a spacious training area, changing rooms, and spectator seating. We offer flexible scheduling, affordable pricing, and a variety of payment options. Our academy is conveniently located on Route 20 Worcester/Shrewsbury Line, serving Worcester, Shrewsbury, Grafton, Auburn, West Boylston, and surrounding localities.
