Common Questions
We understand that seeking therapy for your child can be a daunting experience, which is why we've compiled a list of common questions and answers to help alleviate any concerns you may have.
Choosing a Therapist
Finding the right therapist can be a challenging task, but we're here to help. Here are some tips for finding a therapist who is a good fit for you and your child:
- Check with your insurance provider to see what therapists in your network
- Search online for therapists in your area who accept your insurance
- Ask friends, family members, or healthcare providers for recommendations
- Meet with several therapists before making a decision
Play Therapy
Play therapy is a unique form of therapy that involves using play to help children express their emotions and work through challenges. In our practice, we believe that play is an effective way to help children communicate and process their emotions. Depending on the needs of the child, play therapy sessions may involve individual work with the child, family therapy, or group work.
As a play therapist, I work with children of all ages, from infancy to young adulthood, and specialize in early childhood mental health. Our play therapy services include:
- Individual play therapy
- Family therapy
- Parent-child therapy
- Group therapy
