Honoring Memories, Celebrating Lives

Finding a therapist with whom you can talk honestly - one who can help you find the words to explain your feelings - can be life-changing. Welcome! Thank you for visiting. If you are considering therapy, this site will provide you with an overview of how therapy can help you effectively negotiate life's challenges, and why the relationship between a client and therapist is so important. You can also use this website to learn more about my practice and experience, and to get answers to common questions about therapy. I also share what motivates me as a therapist and explain my dedication to helping people explore their feelings and actions, so they can become more fully engaged in their own lives.

Services Offered

As a dedicated therapist, I am committed to helping you find the words to explain your feelings. I understand that starting therapy can be both exciting and nerve-wracking, but I believe that when people feel understood, they have the best opportunity for effectively negotiating life's challenges. My practice is focused on creating a trusted relationship with my clients, which is the first step in developing the tools to live a life that feels richer and more authentic.

My Experience

My wide range of experiences has given me the opportunity to spend time with many types of people. This in turn has provided me the tools to forge meaningful connections with my clients. I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from Hunter College/City University of New York in 1994 and have worked as a psychotherapist ever since. I have been licensed for independent practice in the state of New Hampshire since 2000. Before moving to New Hampshire, I studied psychotherapy and psychoanalysis at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy in New York City.

My clinical background has also included work in an Employee Assistance Program, and with organizations serving homebound geriatric patients and people with eating disorders. I have written and presented on issues related to organ transplantation. I have also written on issues about women, family life, and work. Before becoming a therapist, I received undergraduate and graduate degrees in both Music and Arts Administration. I worked in a managerial capacity in nonprofit and commercial arts and entertainment organizations in Michigan and New York City.

Professional Affiliations

I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the Academy of Clinical Social Workers, the American Association for Psychoanalysis in Clinical Social Work (AAPCSW), and The International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy Division.
