The Center For Ballet Arts

The Center for Ballet Arts (CBA) is Northern Virginia's premier dance studio for all ages. Founded in 1992 by Benn and Debra Savage, CBA offers a wide variety of dance training including Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Tap, Jazz, and Conditioning. Classes are available for ages 3 and up, including adults. Intensive programs are offered for serious dance students to promote strength, flexibility, and technique.

Located in Fairfax, VA, with three spacious air-conditioned studios complete with professional sprung floors, CBA is home to three performing companies: the Ballet Arts Ensemble, Ballet Arts Junior Ensemble, and the new Ballet Arts Tap and Jazz Ensemble (BATJE). Our mission is to provide a well-rounded curriculum and a pleasant and encouraging environment for dance training for those who dance for exercise or for the love of dance to those dancing at the professional level.

Throughout its 30-year history, CBA has produced professional dancers from international companies and local companies such as The Washington Opera, Bowen McCauley Dance, and Dancin' Unlimited Jazz Dance Company. Our dancers have also attended prestigious summer programs including Jacobs Pillow, Pacific Northwest Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and the School of American Ballet (NYC Ballet School).

CBA has received numerous accolades, including the Best of Fairfax award in the category of dance education for 14 consecutive years. We are proud to be a founding member of the Virginia Dance Coalition (VDC) and a member of the Southeast Regional Ballet Association (SERBA) from 2001-2011.
