Virginia Ballet

The Virginia Ballet Company is a renowned institution dedicated to providing exceptional classical ballet and contemporary dance training to students of all ages and skill levels. Since 1950, we have been instilling students with the life skills of self-discipline and self-confidence through rigorous training and performance opportunities. Our mission is to continue the rich tradition of classical choreography by instructing our dancers on the history of dance, its pioneers, and its methods of instruction.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of classes and programs designed to meet the needs of our diverse student body. From preschool classes for our youngest dancers to pre-professional training for those seeking a career in dance, we have something for everyone. Our classes include Parent Resources, Creative Movement, Elementary Pre-Ballet, Beginning Ballet, and Advanced Ballet, as well as specialty programs such as Adult Dance Classes, Teen Ballet for Fun, and Adaptive Dance.

In addition to our regular classes, we also offer a variety of community events and performances, including our annual production of Don Quixote and our Fantasy Ballet Camp. We believe that performance opportunities are an essential part of a dancer's training, and we provide numerous chances for our students to take the stage and showcase their skills.
