Ultimate Charter Fishing

Ultimate Charters is a licensed charter fishing operation based in the Traverse City and Elk Rapids areas of Northern Michigan. We offer exceptional fishing experiences on Lake Michigan, specializing in Salmon, Lake Trout, Brown Trout, and Steelhead. Our captains are licensed by the US Coast Guard, and our boat is annually inspected by the Michigan DNR for charter. We take pride in being members of the Michigan Charterboat Association and the National Association of Charterboat Operators, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.

Embark on an unforgettable fishing adventure onboard our 31' Trojan vessel, equipped with twin V8 gas engines and state-of-the-art navigation electronics. Our boat is fully loaded with electric downriggers, fish finders, water temperature and speed sensors, and a vast selection of lures and tackle for your use. Our spacious cabin features a full-size restroom, adding a touch of comfort during your time on the water.

Prepare for Your Adventure

Before casting your first line, familiarize yourself with our guidelines and recommendations. Michigan law requires a valid fishing license for each person partaking in the activity, regardless of age (EXCEPT under 17-year-olds). One-day licenses can be acquired onboard for convenience. Pack suitable clothing, such as soft-soled shoes, jackets, hats, sunglasses, and cameras. It is also advisable to bring food, drinks, and a cooler to store your fresh catch.

As you prepare, remember that Ultimate Charters welcomes anglers of all ages and expertise levels. Even if it is your first time, our experienced crew will friendly guide you through the easy-to-learn process. We encourage families to join us and look forward to helping young fishermen reel in a memorable catch.

Plan Your Trip

Half-day charters are available for 4, 5, or 6 people, priced at $450, $500, and $550, respectively. Our flexible scheduling permits departures at 7 a.m. for morning excursions, 1 p.m. for afternoon adventures, or the final 4 hours of daylight, during which fish are often most active.

To confirm your reservation, we kindly request a $50 deposit, refunded if cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the booked trip/severe weather, as determined by the captain.
