Grateful Dog grew from a passion for empowering canines and enriching their lives. Our founder, Robert Espinosa, envisioned a space where dogs could experience the joy of boundless play, social interaction, and the comfort of a loving home environment, all without cages. Drawing from his experience managing a Bay Area daycare and his deep understanding of pack dynamics, Robert established Grateful Dog in his own home, offering daycare, boarding, and group hikes. This initial step blossomed into Sacramento's first dedicated dog daycare and cage-free boarding facility.
