Nursery School At Christ Church

The Nursery School of Christ Church is a New Jersey licensed, full-day pre-school and child care program that has been serving the community since 1967. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing and wholesome environment that meets the educational, emotional, and spiritual needs of children from infancy to 6 years old.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum that fosters growth, exploration, and learning in a safe and welcoming environment. We believe that every child is unique and deserves to be treated with love, respect, and kindness. As a direct ministry of Christ Church, we are committed to providing a program that is inclusive and open to all families.

Our Programs

We offer a range of programs designed to meet the needs of children at different stages of development. Our infant care program is designed for babies from 6 weeks to approximately 18 months, and provides a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages growth and development. Our toddler program is designed for children from 18 months to 2.5 years, and focuses on promoting social, verbal, and listening skills. Our pre-school program is designed for children from 2.5-4.5 years, and provides a language-based curriculum that encourages self-expression and exploration. Our kindergarten program is designed for children from 4.5-6 years, and provides a comprehensive curriculum that prepares children for entry into first grade.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is designed to be nurturing, developmental, and wholesome. We believe that children learn best when they are engaged and motivated, and our program includes a range of activities and experiences that promote learning and exploration. Our program includes discovery programs in natural sciences, music, and art, as well as extracurricular programs in soccer, dance, yoga, and gymnastics. We also provide Spanish lessons to children from toddlers through kindergarten, and introduce the basics of reading readiness, mathematics, and computer skills.

Our Facilities

Our school is located in a beautiful facility that is designed to meet the needs of young children. Our outdoor play yard is fully equipped with bikes, toys, and play equipment, and our indoor gym is equipped with mats and riding toys. We are easily accessible by public transportation, including the Glen Ridge Train Station, and offer competitive tuition and fees, including a flexible schedule for extended care hours.
