Mendon Golf Club is a private, member-owned club nestled in the picturesque rolling hills of Mendon, New York, just a short drive south of Rochester. Since 1961, players of all skill levels have enjoyed our championship 6,645-yard, par-71 course, designed to weave seamlessly into the natural landscape. The club features four sets of tees, ensuring a challenging and enjoyable experience for everyone.

A Rich History

Mendon Golf Club's story began in 1961 when a group of passionate golfers sought to establish a private course in the Rochester area. Driven by their love for the sport, they found the perfect location in Mendon, a farm with ideal terrain for a championship golf course.

The initial nine holes were thoughtfully designed by renowned golf architect Peter Craig. The grand opening on July 30th, 1961, was made even more memorable with an inaugural round played by professional golfer Gary Player. As the club's popularity grew, the back nine were added in 1967, designed by Joe DeMino, further solidifying Mendon Golf Club's position as a premier golfing destination.

Throughout its history, Mendon Golf Club has hosted several prestigious tournaments, including US Open Qualifiers, demonstrating its commitment to providing a challenging and exhilarating experience for golfers of all skill levels.
