Our Vision

At McGinnis Academy of Martial Arts, we empower individuals to achieve their full potential through the practice of Martial Arts. We foster a supportive and inclusive environment where students can learn valuable physical and life skills, building both physical and mental resilience.

Our Story

Founder and head instructor, Professor Shawn McGinnis, discovered Martial Arts following a resisting arrest experience. Recognizing the potential for personal empowerment, he embarked on a journey to master various martial arts disciplines. He went on to become a certified instructor in Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido, inspiring him to share his knowledge with others.

Over the years, Professor McGinnis honed his skills, teaching martial arts in various settings. Recognizing a need for a dedicated space for learning, he established McGinnis Academy in 2015. Today, we are proud to be an affiliate of the renowned Carlson Gracie Jiu Jitsu academy.

Our Programs

We offer a diverse range of programs for all ages and skill levels:

• Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: Learn effective grappling and ground fighting techniques.
• Taekwondo: Master traditional Korean kicks and striking skills.
