Our signature dishes, such as the SSK Chicken Fried Waffle and the Southern Club Triple Decker, are customer favorites and are not to be missed.

Our Lunch Menu

Our Southern Club Triple Decker is a customer favorite, and our Strawberry & Avocado Salad is the perfect light option. We also offer a selection of burgers, including our Grass Fed Beef Jalapeno Burger, which is a customer favorite.

Signature Offerings

At Sara's Southern Kitchen, we believe in putting our own unique twist on classic dishes. That's why we offer a selection of signature offerings that are sure to please. Our Signature Shrimp & Grits feature creamy, cheesy grits topped with grilled shrimp and sauteed onions, and our SSK Chicken Fried Waffle is a waffle stuffed with our fried chicken and deep-fried. Our Los Gatos "LU" Southern fried chicken over homemade biscuits topped with country gravy is one of our popular dishes.

Meet the Owner - Sara Williams

Sara Williams is the owner of Sara's Southern Kitchen in Downtown Los Gatos. With over 20 years of experience in hospitality, Sara is passionately focused on creating a dining experience and menu that highlights quality, efficiency, and profitability. Her positive attitude and boundless energy inspire team members to work hard and succeed. Sara is also a Los Gatos native and a mother of two.

Our History

The Southern Kitchen was opened in the early 70's and has since been serving the town's favorite breakfast. Our commitment to quality food and excellent service has stood the test of time and we continue to please our customers for over 40 years. Our menu has something for everyone, from Southern breakfast originals like shrimp and grits to avocado toast and specialty salads. The atmosphere at Southern Kitchen is one of a kind, located in a building built in 1894, a true piece of Los Gatos history.
