Our Team
At the helm of AMA is Head Coach Jim "The Beast" Alers, a seasoned martial arts instructor with over 15 years of experience. A Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Jim has a broad background in martial arts, having competed in 20 professional MMA fights and holding a 4-1 record in Bare Knuckle boxing. With a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida, Jim brings a unique blend of technical expertise, practical application, and passion for the sport. His approach focuses on both fun and technical aspects of martial arts, making it an enjoyable and rewarding experience for students of all levels.

- Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ): A grappling-based martial art that focuses on controlling a resisting opponent using takedowns, control, and the application of chokes or joint-manipulations. We offer both Gi and No-Gi classes, providing students with a range of techniques and styles to master.
- Kickboxing: A striking style program that incorporates combinations of punches, kicks, and defensive movements. Our classes focus on technique and conditioning, helping students develop their physical fitness and coordination.
