Our Legacy
Jiu-Jitsu is a proven self-defense martial art that enables a trained practitioner to defend themselves against a larger assailant by utilizing leverage, angles, positioning, and control. Beyond self-defense, this art provides a complete workout and builds mental strength through focus and commitment. Our founder, Renato Magno, is deeply intertwined with the legacy of Jiu-Jitsu. Renato's development was shaped by Master Gastao Gracie Jr., Master Carlos Gracie Jr., and the Machado brothers. He is often referred to as the "Sixth Machado Brother" as he is the only black belt to receive his belt from all five brothers. Renato has won numerous tournaments, including the IBJJF Pan American medalist (gold in 1997) and the US Open gold medalist.
