NOLA Aikido is a martial arts dojo located in the heart of New Orleans' Mid-City neighborhood. Our dojo is dedicated to promoting the art of Aikido, a Japanese martial art that focuses on peaceful conflict resolution and self-defense techniques. Our experienced instructors are committed to helping students of all ages and skill levels learn and grow in a safe and cooperative environment.

Our Mission

At NOLA Aikido, we strive to embody the principles of Harmony, Love, and Wisdom as we cultivate physical, mental, and spiritual growth. Our instructors are dedicated to teaching Aikido techniques and principles that promote peace, harmony, and mutual respect.

Services Offered

  • Aikido Classes for Adults and Children: Our instructors offer classes for adults and children, teaching the fundamental principles and techniques of Aikido. Our classes are designed to be fun and engaging while promoting physical and mental well-being.
  • Tai Chi and Qigong: We also offer classes in Tai Chi and Qigong, which focus on slow, flowing movements that promote relaxation, balance, and inner harmony.

Our Instructors

At NOLA Aikido, our instructors are experienced Aikido practitioners with a deep understanding of the art. Our chief instructor, Robert Brian Levy Sensei, is a 5th dan black belt with over 25 years of Aikido experience. Our instructors are certified and qualified professionals who have undergone extensive training and have years of teaching experience.

Lineage

Our instructors are part of a long line of Aikido masters and practitioners who have passed on their knowledge and skills through generations. Our teachers have trained with some of the most renowned Aikido masters, including Seishiro Endo Shihan, Christian Tissier Shihan, and Jan Nevelius Shihan.
