Our Faculty

Our faculty is comprised of experienced and certified instructors who are committed to providing high-quality instruction and guidance. Our director, Laurie Blakeney, has been practicing yoga since 1971 and is a personal student of the late Shri B.K.S. Iyengar, the founder of the Iyengar Method. Our instructors are dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters growth, development, and community.

Our Facilities

Our studio is located in the heart of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and is designed to provide a peaceful and serene environment for yoga practice. Our studio is fully equipped with yoga mats, blocks, straps, and blankets, and features a spacious and well-ventilated practice area. We also offer changing rooms, showers, and a comfortable lounge area where students can relax and socialize.

Giving Back

At Ann Arbor School of Yoga, we are committed to giving back to our community. We offer a sliding-scale non-profit sponsored class on Sundays, which is open to all levels and taught in Spanish and English. This class is a great way to introduce new students to the benefits of yoga and to build a sense of community.
