Welcome to Montgomery County Kung Fu, a professional martial arts training center located in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Our school has been serving the Washington, DC metro area for over a decade, providing authentic Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) Kung Fu instruction to students of all ages and skill levels.
Our Story
Our journey began in 2010 when our head instructors and owners, Sifu Brad Schonhorst and Sifu Liz Schonhorst, opened the doors to Montgomery County Kung Fu. At the time, we operated out of a shared space in Germantown, Maryland. As our school grew, we recognized the need for a dedicated location to best serve our students and the community. In 2011, we relocated to our current space in Gaithersburg, Maryland, where we have been operating since then.
Sifu Brad and Sifu Liz have been training Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) Kung Fu for nearly 20 years, with a strong foundation in the philosophy and principles of the art. Prior to opening Montgomery County Kung Fu, they operated a Ving Tsun Kung Fu school in Brooklyn, New York, before relocating to the Washington, DC metro area. Our Mission
The mission of Montgomery County Kung Fu is to provide authentic Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) Kung Fu training to anyone who wishes to learn. Our school is committed to preserving the integrity and essence of the art, while also adapting to the needs and goals of our students. Our instructors are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and challenging environment for students of all ages and skill levels.

Our Class Schedule
Our regular class schedule is designed to accommodate students' busy schedules. Our classes are held:
- Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm
- Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9pm
