Accuracy and Integrity in Every Solution
Our Mission
At Suzuki Strings of Austin, we believe that "every child can" and strive to create a nurturing and personalized learning environment for every child. We aim to foster a community that encourages thoughtful and creatively expressive human beings. Our program is designed to support every child's learning journey, regardless of their age or background.
Our Faculty
Our team consists of a talented group of teachers who have achieved registered training through the Suzuki Association of the Americas and hold Masters degrees or beyond. Our faculty includes Leigh Wallenhaupt, Christabel Lin, Gretchen Seaver, Lee Rylie Harrod, Abigail Bellorin, and Daniela Lancara de Espinoza. Each of our teachers is dedicated to providing a supportive learning environment that caters to the unique needs of every child.
Our Program
Our comprehensive program offers a range of services, including weekly private lessons, group classes, solo recitals, workshops, group performances, and community events. We believe that these aspects are pivotal to the education and development of our students. As your children advance, we also offer elective classes, music reading, music theory, and small group ensemble opportunities.
Suzuki Method
We utilize the Suzuki Method, which emphasizes listening and repetition as the primary means of learning music. Children internalize and audiate pieces through listening at home, supplemented by daily practice guided by a parent. This method works for every single child, as every student learns at their own pace. Our instruction is tailored to each child's individual needs, and we prioritize personalization.
Community
At Suzuki Strings of Austin, we strive to create a cooperative and nurturing community of teachers, students, and families. We believe that shared learning and support are essential components of our program. Our students and families come together regularly to participate in group performances, workshops, and special events. We encourage parental involvement and collaboration among our members to create a thriving and supportive community.
Program Details
Our program is year-round, and tuition is all-inclusive. Families pay monthly online, and each student has a primary teacher with whom they take private lessons. We have a network of additional teachers who teach group classes and lead program events. We prioritize community building and come together as often as possible.
