Empowering young minds, one family at a time.
North Tacoma Cooperative Preschool is a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for children aged 2-5. We provide a positive, safe space where children can explore, discover, practice social skills, and develop a positive attitude towards learning. Our preschool is a cooperative effort between parents and professionals, with parents playing an active role in their child's education and growth.
Our Programs
We offer three programs designed to meet the developmental needs of each child:
- 2-year-olds: Tuesday / Thursday from 9:30-11:00am, from Late September - May
- 3-year-olds: Monday / Wednesday / Friday from 9:30-11:30am, from Late September - May
- Pre-Kindergarten: Monday - Thursday from 12:15-2:45pm, from Late September - May
Our programs feature low tuition, a high adult-to-child ratio, and a wonderful teacher. We also offer parent education opportunities to help parents learn about child development and support their child's growth.
Parent Involvement
As a cooperative preschool, we are entirely run and supported by parents and volunteers. Two or three parents join our teacher during every class to engage children in playing and learning and to help manage the classroom. We also plan fundraising activities and special events that bring us together as a community. Our association with Bates Technical College provides opportunities for parents to learn and share in the many resources that Bates has to offer.
Enrollment
We are now accepting applications for the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school year. Visit our "How to Apply" page for more information on enrollment and tuition fees.
