Our founder, Carolyn Farrell LMT, is a licensed massage therapist with over a decade of experience in helping accident victims, individuals with repetitive strain injuries, and Labor & Industries patients.

Carolyn's unique approach to massage therapy combines her extensive knowledge of kinesiology, physiology, and biology with her mastery of massage therapy techniques. This allows her to provide positive outcomes for her patients and help them restore their health to pre-injury condition.

Accidents

If you've been in an accident, you know how debilitating and painful injuries can be. That's where Serious Massage Therapy comes in. Carolyn has seen over 100 accident victims and has the ability to mentally recreate the motion that caused the injury. This allows her to understand the problem at a cellular level and achieve great results through massage therapy.

Overuse

Welcome to the 21st Century! In our jobs, we make the same repetitive movements over and over, which can cause repetitive strain injuries (RSI). Carolyn's massage techniques can help restore you to good health and in many cases avoid surgery.

Labor & Industries

We treat L&I patients! Carolyn will work with the Department of Labor & Industries to ensure that you receive the proper treatment so that when you go back to work, you're ready and equipped to handle it.

Carolyn's Credentials

Before becoming a licensed massage therapist, Carolyn received both EMT Training and three years of Nursing. This extensive background in healthcare enables her to provide a unique and highly effective approach to massage therapy.

Why Massage Therapy?

One of Carolyn's early walk-in patients, a Veterinary Technician, suffered from severe headaches. She had experienced them 24/7, 365 days a year, for four years. After completing neuro testing, she was placed on two medications. But still no relief. She confessed to Carolyn that she would sometimes hit her head against the wall, to distract from her pounding non-stop headaches. At her first appointment, Carolyn worked on her neck with interim resting. She also employed some essential oils. At the end of her appointment, her patient was in tears. For the first time in four years she felt relief. Her headache was gone! At that moment, Carolyn knew that massage therapy could help people in ways she'd only imagined. She realized she could effect positive changes in health through deep tissue massage. Her days of offering fluff and buff massage therapy services instantly became a thing of the past.

Mom & Grandmom

Carolyn is a mother of four and a grandmother of five. Her priorities are God, family, and work, in that order. In her spare time, she loves playing with her grandkids and her large lego collection.

Hawaiian Roots

Carolyn was born and raised on Oahu. This wonderful setting gave her a love of the outdoors; sun, sand, surf, and sea! As a child, she was always barefoot and still enjoys going barefoot today. Her grandfather was full Hawaiian and Carolyn feels a strong connection to her Hawaiian heritage.

Carolyn works in conjunction with other health professionals. She coordinates restorative plans with Naturopaths, Acupuncturists and Chiropractors. Carolyn shares office space with Dr. Chad Abramsen, a

NUCCA Chiropractor. She also shares space with Dr. Laura Martin, a Naturopath.
