Empowering the Next Generation of Jewish Leaders

Our Philosophy

At B'nai Simcha Jewish Community Preschool, we believe that young children learn best through play and exploration. Our approach is inspired by the work of Vygotsky and Piaget, and we strive to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the developmental needs of our students. We believe that every child is unique and special, and we seek to help them develop their unique strengths and abilities.

Our Programs

Our preschool program is designed for children aged 2-6, and we offer both morning and afternoon programs. Our curriculum is built around a play-based approach, with an emphasis on exploration, creativity, and social-emotional learning. We also place a strong emphasis on Jewish values and traditions, and we seek to help our students develop a sense of pride and connection to their Jewish heritage.

Our Philosophy in Action

In our daily interactions with our students, we seek to embody the values of empathy, kindness, and respect for all people. We believe that every child deserves a safe and inclusive environment, and we strive to create a welcoming and diverse community that celebrates the unique qualities and backgrounds of all our students. From our daily meals to our weekly celebrations and traditions, we seek to create a sense of belonging and connection for all our students.

Diversity and Inclusion

At B'nai Simcha, we believe that diversity is a strength, and we strive to create an inclusive environment that celebrates the unique qualities and backgrounds of all our students. We believe that every child has the right to be heard, seen, and valued, and we seek to create a culture of respect and empathy in our preschool. We believe that by celebrating our differences, we can build a stronger, more compassionate community that honors the uniqueness of each individual.

Outdoor Education

We believe that the outdoors is an extension of the classroom, and we seek to provide our students with regular opportunities to explore and learn in nature. Our outdoor spaces are designed to encourage exploration, creativity, and physical activity, and we strive to spend at least a third of our day outdoors.

Music and Dance

Music and movement are an integral part of our preschool experience. We believe that music and movement can help our students develop their social-emotional skills, as well as their cognitive and physical abilities. We offer regular music classes and encourage our students to express themselves through song, movement, and dance.

Accreditation and Licensing

We are proud to be accredited by the Bureau of Jewish Education, and we are also licensed by the California Department of Social Services. We take our responsibility to provide a high-quality early childhood education seriously, and we strive to continually improve our programs and services to meet the unique needs of our students and their families.

Schedule a Tour

We would love to show you our campus and give you a tour of our preschool. We offer in-person tours for fully vaccinated individuals and virtual tours for those who are unvaccinated. Please contact our Director, Chana Blugrind, to schedule a tour at chana@bnaisimcha.org.

Registration

We begin our admission process in January for the upcoming Summer and Fall programs. Returning students and siblings receive priority, and then we fill available spots on a first-come basis.
