Heal the body. Heal the mind. Heal the patient.

At Hummingbird Physical Therapy, we believe that pain is not always black and white, and that it often stems from more than a physical injury. As wellness investigators and healers, we crack the code and unlock the pain. Our team of physical therapists brings large practice experience to a boutique environment, dedicated to helping people maintain an active and full lifestyle.

Our Approach to Physical Therapy

We focus on restorative and holistic health, specializing in the alleviation of chronic and severe pain. Our integrative techniques treat pain and discomfort without medicine, surgery, or medical procedures, offering patients a positive and comfortable experience with minimal side effects and risk. We are advocates of preventative care, knowing that regular physical therapy visits can prevent pain and disease before it starts.

Meet Our Team

Our team of physical therapists is led by Dr. Michelle Deslauriers PT, DPT, who earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Washington University in St. Louis, the top-ranked PT school in the nation. Dr. Deslauriers has an individualized and creative approach to treating patients, using a variety of hands-on techniques focusing on connective tissue (fascia). Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT) is a unique array of gentle osteopathic techniques that delivers outstanding results for patients. Dr. Deslauriers is also a practitioner of the John F. Barnes myofascial release approach and combines these techniques with traditional physical therapy techniques, dry needling, postural restoration, and functional movement.

Our Services

We offer a range of services, including:

  • Myofascial Release: A safe, gentle, and effective therapy designed by John Barnes to release tension in the connective tissue.
  • Dry Needling: The use of small filament needles inserted into muscles to decrease pain and spasm.
  • Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT): A gentle, hands-on approach that allows therapists to find and treat the true root cause of a problem.
  • Craniosacral Therapy: A gentle, hands-on method of treating the membranes and fluid that surround the brain and spinal cord.
  • Women's Health Physical Therapy: Physical therapy can help with many conditions women experience but don't seek treatment for.

Patient Information

As a new patient, we welcome you to our practice and want to assure you that you are in great hands.
