Our Story
At Haygood Scientific Tool, we take pride in our rich history as a trusted provider of precision manufacturing and machining services for over 70 years. Founded in 1953 by Howard Haygood, we have grown to become one of the oldest CNC machine shops in Houston, Texas. With an average employee length of service of over 20 years, we pride ourselves on our knowledge and expertise. Our entire company is quality-driven and customer-focused, ensuring that we deliver the highest quality machined parts to our clients.
Capabilities
As a full-service precision machine shop, we offer a wide range of services to meet the specific needs of our clients. Our capabilities include CNC milling and turning, as well as a variety of additional services such as polishing, deburring, sawing, testing, and inspection. We have a vast range of materials and grades that we work with, including high-temp alloy steels, stainless steel, titanium, and plastics. Our 22,000 sq ft facility is fully air-conditioned and houses multiple buildings, including a mill shop, lathe shop, material processing building, inspection and testing area, and offices.
Products and Services
At Haygood Scientific Tool, we take pride in our ability to produce high-quality machined parts for a wide range of industries. From oil and gas to petrochemical and valve companies, we have a proven track record of delivering exceptional products to large and small clients alike. Our CNC turning and milling capabilities allow us to manufacture parts in a variety of materials, including 4140 alloy steel, Inconel 718, and 6061 aluminum. We offer a range of services, including zinc plating, anodized coating, and pull testing.
