Scent & Violet

Scent & Violet, a Houston-based florist, has cultivated relationships with customers, neighbors, and vendors since its founding. Located in West Houston near Alief, Westchase, and the Energy Corridor, the business specializes in custom floral designs for everyday occasions and special events. The team combines European garden aesthetics with Houstonian diversity in color and style, incorporating elements from Asian, South American, and African floral traditions. They offer same-day delivery for fresh flowers, plants, and curated gifts, including gourmet baskets, candles, and Texas-made products. Their corporate clients benefit from office floral displays and event styling, while their community involvement includes partnerships with local businesses and membership in the Go Texan organization.

The shop emphasizes relationship-building over transactional sales, with 80% of business coming from repeat customers and word-of-mouth referrals. Despite challenges from Hurricane Harvey and the pandemic, the company maintains its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Their seasonal collections reflect natural cycles, featuring pastel spring arrangements, bold summer blooms, rustic autumn designs, and festive winter florals. The team hand-delivers to funeral homes, churches, and residences across greater Houston, offering sympathy plants and standing sprays. They also provide wedding floral services with no minimum orders, creating custom arrangements for ceremonies of all sizes.
