Our mission is to maximize your child's learning potential by offering an academic program that approaches learning through exploration of art, music, dance, and theater. We understand that every child is unique and has their own strengths and weaknesses, which is why we provide a child-centered environment with low teacher-to-child ratios and personalized attention.
Our facilities are designed to foster learning as well as emotional and social development. We provide 24-hour monitoring and surveillance at all academies, security video monitoring on site, and are D.E.S approved. Our staff is certified, and our executive director holds a Master's degree in special education. We are proud to offer high-reach learning curriculum and a culturally diverse environment for your child.
Our Services
We offer a range of services to cater to the needs of working parents, including 24/7 childcare, late night and weekend childcare, and after-school programs. Our programs are designed to be intellectually stimulating, entertaining, and nurturing. We provide a curriculum that exercises infant cognitive, physiological, and nurturing growth, ensuring that your child reaches their full potential.
We also provide a range of special activities and events, including fitness and aerobics classes, learn to draw and color, and dance and aerobics classes. Our goal is to provide a fun and engaging environment that promotes learning and development.
Our Commitment to Safety
At Nana's Academy, we take the safety and security of our children and staff very seriously. We have implemented new policies and procedures to effectively prevent the spread of Covid-19, including temperature checks, minimum capacity operation, electronic disinfectant, and daily facility sanitizing. We care deeply about the safety of our little ones and are committed to providing a safe learning environment for many years to come.
Unreliable and Unhygienic
Several reviewers have expressed their dissatisfaction with Nana's Place Daycare, citing concerns about communication, cleanliness, and staff behavior. Melinda Mendez and Goddess Thingz both gave the daycare 1-star reviews, stating that they experienced gossip, lack of communication, and poor hygiene, respectively. Mendez also mentioned that she left the daycare due to these issues, while Thingz had to rush her daughter to the emergency room due to an infection she contracted at the daycare.
Contrasting Experience
On the other hand, Telina Henry gave the daycare a 5-star review, praising the curriculum, staff, and facilities. She mentioned that her children learn new things every day and have developed strong relationships with the teachers. Henry also highlighted the daycare's low prices and flexible hours as major pluses.
Negative Experiences
Other reviewers had negative experiences with the daycare. Sally Herrera was frustrated with the lack of transparency and honesty from the staff, particularly Director Joanne. She felt that the daycare was violating COVID-19 protocols and refused to allow her to tour the facility. Herrera also expressed concern about the conflict of interest between staff members and family relationships.
Melissa Jones had a poor customer service experience with the daycare, with the staff member she spoke with, Christina, being unfriendly and unhelpful. Jones ultimately decided not to enroll her children in the daycare.
M. B. and Richard Davidson both gave the daycare 1-star reviews, citing concerns about verbal and physical abuse towards children by staff members, including Director Misty. Davidson also mentioned that the facility was dirty and that children were moved from class to class without parental notification.
