Our Story
At Hafner Vineyard, our story began in 1967 when Dick and Mary Hafner stumbled upon a 100-acre farm of prunes, pears, and Zinfandel grapes in Alexander Valley, Sonoma County. After a fortuitous meeting with the landowner, Dick, a farmer, and Mary, a passionate gardener, decided to take a leap of faith and purchased the land. Over the years, they worked tirelessly to convert the farm into a thriving vineyard, planting Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay vines. The rest, as they say, is history.
